Description
Adventures From Bluestone Island – Discovering Dot is the first book in the series. Created to nurture water confidence, promote emotional resilience, and highlight how positive friendships bring out the best in people!
Welcome to Bluestone Island, the bright, wonderful home of Flo! The one and only water-loving Swimasaurus!
Flo is curious, lively and always ready to dive into her next big adventure. But everything changes the day she meets Dot a young, timid Whizzy Wig creature who’s never been near the water. Moreover, she is frightened, lonely, and feels completely out of her depth.
In her panic, Dot ends up in a bit of a pickle and that’s when Flo realises, she has a special mission: to help Dot discover the joys that come with feeling confident and safe in the water.
It won’t happen overnight. It will take time, patience, and a whole lot of trust but Flo reassures Dot it’s a journey worth taking, and one they’ll go on together!

“This book really opened up a lovely conversation about the importance of taking small steps to achieve something that might feel scary.
I was able to use the story to help my children see the value of taking small steps, which naturally led to a conversation about times they had done this themselves. My daughter spoke about facing her fear of heights, and my son shared his experience of overcoming nerves when starting a new club.
It was a beautiful book to read and was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family”
